On the abolition of the four-year LLB

The recent decision by the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS) to cancel, as of the end of 2014, the 4-year undergraduate law degree (the LLB) has resulted in significant debate within legal community, and beyond it, as to the merits of the decision. Barry Roux and Gerrie Nel are probably to thank for the latter but those presently reading for the LLB, or hoping to, would naturally be concerned with this decision.
